I tried it on my 01 Tacoma, ran fine for about 5 miles THEN it began to sputter. Kept driving for another 5 miles till I got home. By then my dashboard was lit like a christmas tree. Inspected everything twice with no luck, not till I disconnected the battery for a couple of minutes did the ECU reset itself and ran fine again. Never will I try it again, gave me a good scare.

Are you sure you used Lucas and that you used it the right way?? I've never heard of an engine doing that after an additive you put in the gas tank. Seafoam will at like that- but you suck that in thru the vacuum tubing or aerosol inject it another way.

I've never had my truck get more miles to the gallon or anything- but I like the condition my spark plugs come out in most of the time...so I think it works for me...

Do a search... Theres a ton of opinion on this stuff. All subjective when it comes to Lucas, Techron, BG44, Seafoam, or just plain fuel. In the end, it comes down to user preference.

I add seafoam to the tank every so often...just preference I guess, have always used it

I've used it in my old camry to eventually turn a CEL off. Also use seafoam occasionally. No issues, no noticable gains.

If you're expecting immediate gains you can feel or notice, then there's probably something worse happeIng that a fuel additive can't fix. IMHO.

I use a bottle about every two or three fill-ups. Can't really tell if it's good or bad, but for some reason, I look forward to putting it in. I guess somewhere in the back of my little mind, I think i'm doin my truk a favor.

Its not that great. I am not anti-Lucas, but it is an oil based injector cleaner. Ive used it a bunch, and i am not saying dont, but i would use the seafoam IMO. If you do use the Lucas buy it in the big jug, save the little shot jug and just refill.

On a side note, i did try the Lucas Octane booster today and WOW!! it def increased the throttle response.

No money, all went to truck...
I use it, I have no proof or evidence that it helps, but for 3 bucks and the psychological belief that its keeping my injectors clean, I'll keep using it.

I know this is old but I was wondering if you guys ran the deep clean and fuel treatment on the same tank or 2 fill ups?

    Thanks
