Hello TW: I finally purchased and installed two Clutch SDs but noticed there are two regular washers with each package in addition to the two locking washers. The two washers weren't mentioned anywhere in the instructions or in the pictures on the website. Anyone know where these are supposed to go and if we need them for Tacomas (maybe they're for the Frontier's track system)?

    Thanks for the information!

I didn't use mine. Just tossed them in the bolt bin.

Cool, thanks! I assume your bikes haven't flown off driving down the highway. The forkers seem really secure so I'll put the extra washers in the washer jar, too. Thanks.

I have used them for my MTB that weighs ~25lbs and my road bike. No issues at all. I have only had them on for a few weeks though. I am just going to check the bolts once a week for a little longer to make sure.

White, debadged, Mudflaps removed, ICON 2.5 in front, 2.0 in rear, all 4 corners have reservoirs, Spidertrax wheel spacers all around, BAMF bolt on sliders, Avid lightbar, oem transmission cooler converted to power steering cooler, aftermarket transmission cooler eliminating all oem transmission cooler stuff, remote mounted spin on transmission fluid filter TrueTrac rear differential, rear diff housing vented and filtered into left side bed box, URD MAF calibrator, Volant intake scoop into oem airbox, second filter removed, airbox internals smoothed, blended and polished throttle body, NST intake manifold spacer, Wet Okolee set covers, WeatherTech Digital Fit mats, inexpensive JVC single DIN, Scangage, AVS Stepshield door sill protectors, Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers, URD Y pipe with O2 sims.
I purchased Rocky Mounts Fly Traps. The Rocky Mounts are great, the flimsy bed rail and bed structure gave me doubts about securing our mountain tandem or road tandem using the bed rail system.

I mounted the Rocky mounts to the actual bed floor itself. Much better solution.

Thanks guys. I would imagine the tandems are pretty heavy.

    Thanks for the input.

    Actually not really.

Our road tandem is not super light like some in the 25 pound range but hits the scales at a true 33 pounds.

The Ventana full suspension and Fandango hardtail off-road tandems both come in around 42 pounds.

The bikes never felt stable using the oem rail system. The rail design makes sense, but to get the security needed it tends to crush the aluminum rail.

I do have one plain old style mount, which is a much lower profile, and therefore less mount hanging aft to the axle, which works better. Still though, that is only for local trips and a max speed of say 50.
