Tire Recommendations

Hi Gang,

I'm new to the TacomaWorld Forum, excited to be a part of such a great community! I purchased my 2010 Tacoma TRD Offroad new in 2010, and have loved it everyday so far. However, with just 21.5k miles I am noticing that the stock BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A tires are nearly shot!

I'm sure the topic has been raised before, but wanted to resurface it to solicit some recommendations for new tires. I live in DE so some snow driving is needed in winter, and I enjoy taking my Tacoma out onto the beach in the summer for surf fishing.

Any and all recommendations are much appreciated!

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll take a look at the Duratracs. The only source I was starting with was consumer reports which obviously wasn't tailored to Tacoma's or my needs. Appreciate the feedback!

Josh - I am in Wilmington, DE. ~1.5 hour from Reading.

 

Pretty happy with the all round performance of my Hankook ATm's

 

Duratracs and the BFG All Terrains are great tires. The BFG's will have a little better road manners but the duratracs are good in snow and have a little better off road traction from what I've heard. Good luck with your decision!

 

Unfortunately, Duratrac doesn't come in the size P265/70R16. Perhaps this is the point where I should also upgrade on wheels, but trying to see if I can get solid all-terrain tires that will last a long time while also not breaking the bank.

Any other tire suggestions, or in terms of Durtrac, wheel suggesionts?

You can fit 265/75/16 on your stock truck no problem
