    Does anyone know if there is a 4 way disc conversion kit available for a 2005 tacoma???

    i know i have 23's on my truck and i need some better stopping power plus im running out of cosmetic mods so know im looking to start doin performance mods!!!

    i think i talked to a mechanic about doing this when i had my 99 and he said it would cost so much that it wouldnt be worth it but i think it would be

    There is a rear disk conversion on the market for the Tacomas, but reports say the stopping performance is diminished from the factory drums.

    A few bolts are different.
    I've done really well on my factory brakes, the truck is at 60,000 and the front pads are doing really good, dont know about the rear drums. do the drums usually last longer?

    If you look at the road tests, The Tacoma has very copmpetitive brakeing results. :)

    I know the feeling, Buddy. I hit the brakes in my Wifes Accord a while back, and I left eyeball prints on the windshield. BUT, My Tacoma will out stop my Dodge by a huge margine. :)

    That's exactly what you should do. I did all that on my Altima and it made a world of difference and I'm sure it will be the same with the Tacoma. I'm just waiting for my current brakes to need changing before I do anything.
