    I own a landscaping business and tow a trailer about 5 days a week, it tows it very well, its a 6x12 enclosed trailer im making a rough guess at about 2200 lbs loaded. my question is, is there anything special i should do with either shorter interval tuneups or any upgrades that will minimize the wear on the truck. Or is that little of weight not going to cause any excess wear

    The trailer increases total combined weight by 50%.
    Your maintenance booklet has a "driving while towing" section at each interval. Basically:
    Lube and torque driveshaft every 6mo./5K.
    Replace front diff, transfer case and rear diff fluids every 18mo./15K.
    Replace transmission fluid at 6yr/60K.

    I spend months of the year out towing a 2350# trailer. I would say for intown towing little needs to be done. For highway towing, especially climbing grades, it's a whole nother story. You generate a lot more heat and pressure in that case. Short drives around town never generate that heat. I think your existing fluid change schedule is just fine. The only additional item I would take seriously is the driveline lubrication. I would hit that at every other oil change for in town towing.

    I would also put brakes and a good controller on the trailer if it doesn't already have them! Daily towing will drastically shorten the life of your truck brakes. Trailer brakes are cheap to buy and replace. Truck brakes are not. They also givve you a considerable margin of safety in a fast stop.
