I had an issue this morning with my original battery in my 2007 not wanting to turn over this morning. Noticed it was turning over slower than normal and am curous as to what would be a good replacement.

It's still the original battery and I have the heavy duty one that comes with the towing package and have the power outlet in the bed.

Also, I feel like I've read somewhere that the O2 sensor or some other sensor may need to be reset after replacng that battery? May be crazy but if anyone could shed any light on this it would be appreciated!

you can either get 24F or a 27 and optional optima red top..optima i would recommend only if youre running a sound system, winch or off road often, other than that, its a waste of money. 24 is the standard size which is most common. 27 is the longer,a little more power (towing battery). The o2 sensor does not have to be reset

Like mentioned get the same battery spec and group size, with the best full replacement warranty available, combined with the pro rate warranty. I lot of good batteries out there made by the same people with different packages or names on them.

I replaced my battery this past fall.... Not because it was 'bad' but because it was 5 years old and the 'winter' was approaching. It was time to change it before it left me sit. I shopped around and ended up buying a battery from my local dealer - they were having a sale on them. I can't remember the details... but it compared in price to all the others of the same size and had a really long warranty.

Plus, I figured.....the factory battery lasted 5 years without any problems, you can't go wrong with another factory variety.

There are only a handful of battery manufactures so chances are they just have a different label

I buy TrueStart batteries. Some last a long time, some don't... same as the others. I'm out on remote jobsites every day, no cell service most of the time, can't worry about dead batteries, so I take along my AntiGravity jump start pack. Also have a BatteryMole analyzer plugged in, keeps track of the battery, charging system. I'll know before hand when to pick up a new battery.

My original Toyota battery (2013) lasted five years before it wouldn't hold a charge. As mentioned above, make sure to have a load tester verify your battery is bad or it isn't dirty connections, bad ground or faulty alternator, or that you inadvertently left an interior light on overnight. Most lead acid batteries are the same basic materials underneath the label, the number of plates and capacity being the difference and CCA capability. Life span of the lead plates in acid is about three-five years before they won't hold a charge, hence the standard warranty time. A deep cycle AGM battery is another animal altogether and price range. They also need to be charged differently than a LA battery. Unless you have excessive engine off battery drain, a standard LA battery is a much better value. If you live where it gets really cold, a battery blanket and solar trickle charger are good investments, trust me. I like to be able to replace the battery easily so I purchase from National supply stores (auto parts chains, Sam's Club, WalMart etc) Here is a good article on batteries and their characteristics. https://www.wholesalesolar.com/solar-information/deep-cycle-battery-info

For my Tacoma I bought a Sam's Club Duracell 27 with the 5 yr warranty.

The 27F is a dollar cheaper  if you can find it. Usually out of stock at local Sam's.
