    1. Make sure you measure on level ground with correct tire pressure. If the spring rate is 550 lb/in, and the ground is 0.25" higher on one side, then the corner weight is off by 137 lb.

    2. A full tank of gas weighs 126 lb. Measure height with empty tank.

    3. Measure with the swaybar disconnected.

    4. The stock driver's side coil is longer to compensate for the lean. If you changed springs to OME 886, lean is guaranteed, hence the need for a trim packer or top plate spacer.

Anyone know of a way to check the compression rate on shocks? coil springs? or both together? It has a full tank of gas. But tank is on the driverside where it is high?

The gas pressure in shocks is negligible. When I upgraded my rear shocks, both the Bilsteins and the Icons could be compressed by my body weight.

Yeah if you wanted to right now you could go take your rear shocks off by just removing the bolts and the lean wouldn't be effected. It's all based on the front and rear springs.

I can put the truck on the lift remove the front shocks. lower the lift to put some weight on the rear. Check to see if it is the front shock assy that is the cause ie bushings or something. I'm not sure if it smart to lower the lift like that but will think about it before I try.

That would be something to try as long as the lift holds the front end level. Although is the lift has too much of the trucks weight on it, it could make the rear end appear level anyway. Still might be worth a try though.

after taking both front shocks off and compairing them I found one shock had a collar reversed. giving me at least a one inch lean. I replaced stock springs with OME 884's. What a change!!! The stock shocks seemed so unsteady. Theses 884's feels better then when I bought the truck. Yes, I would tell anyone to try these 884's.

This is my first Tacoma. 2011 Prerunner. Totally stock. Just went out and looked at mine in the driveway. Mine leans to the driver's side also. 3/4 tank of gas in it. Put a 3 foot level on the tailgait. Level says it's leaning also. WTF? Also have a 1997 Z71. Just use it on my ranch and for short errands to town. This truck's been used hard, the Z71 not the 2011 Tacoma, and it leans to the driver's side also. It also has about 3/4 tank of gas in it. I just thought I must have towed something too heavy with it. Anyway, they both lean to the driver's side. Any ideas? Especially on the Tacoma?

Gas tank, Driver and Battery are all on the left ( driver ) side of the truck. It will lean slightly in that direction.

Thanks JimmyH. Makes sense to me. Just as long as it's not a mechanical problem I'm cool with it.
