I was just researching lifts for whenever i get my next truck and since i probably wont do too much off roading in my next truck i want it to look good. I figured out what a spindle lift is and was wondering if i got a 4 inches of lift from that would i be able to get bilstein shocks and set those at 2 inches and get 6 inches of lift? or would it still be at 4 inches? not completely understanding the spindles

    You'd be at 6 inches.

No extensions. Make sure you do the back right though to match. You'll need like 6 inches to match.

The spindles move the hub down 4" and keep stock front end geometry. Meaning that unless you use shocks and springs to lift 3" you should be just fine with stock uca's.

Throwing on an aftermarket UCA might not be necessary but not a bad consideration either. It would be one of those "have it but don't need it" as opposed to "need it but don't have it" situations in the event you do decide once to get squirrely. Light Racing makes a solid UCA that won't brake the bank.

The total chaos are nice too. Very popular. IMO nothing beats the Camburgs. I say that with a lot of bias because I have them

I've got the Maxtrac 4" spindles with 5100's up front and the Allpro expedition leaf springs in the rear. My 5100's are at 2.5" in the front and my truck has either alignment or bump steer issues. The alignment shop says it's within spec, but I know it isn't right. Anyways, long story short, I wouldn't recommend going any higher than 1.75" with the bilsteins. It sits too high in the front for me anyways, so I'm about to take them down a notch in the front and add a 1" body lift to maintain clearance for my 295/70/18's.
