    I'm working on it...
It's not really much on a "how to" it's more like can you solder...And not burn anything

Oh... Well I'm not sure I can be trusted with a soldering iron in the delicate confines of my taco's dash. Kinda scary.

    Looks good! Great job!

I know you said you have an aftermarket radio, but do you have a pic of your whole dash at night including the radio? Just curious how it all looks together.

Looks sharp, does the brightness bother your night driving? Asking cause I don't think the dash will dim with led's.

Thinking I might change the dash colours on mine to a similar blue but using reg bulbs

There are no bulbs in the 2nd gen dash...it comes stock with orange LEDs and red LEDs for the needles. And once swapped it still dims exactly the same as stock
All you're doing is swapping the light color with an exact type of led

The factory dash already has LEDs, so yes, it will dim with other colored LEDs. It does it by a method called PWM: http://www.waitingforfriday.com/index.php/Controlling_LED_brightness_using_PWM

I would suggest against using real bulbs in your dash. LEDs will last much longer, take less power, create less heat, and they're already factory installed.

OP, where did you get your white needles? I scraped the orange paint off an extra set, but I think it will show too many scratches, so I'd like to just get a frosted or white replacement set.

Also, does anyone know what the clear plastic portion of the bezel is called, and where I could find a NEW one?
