    I have a 2012 TRD OR with V-6 Auto...

With the 35 in tires i really need to regear, i have searched and read literally hundreds of pages on regearing here and elsewhere. I cannot find anyone that has done it on a '12. I tried ordering from 4WP and they said all the gear vendors they contacted said the latest model of taco they have gears for is the 2009, apparently toyota changed something in the diffs (size or otherwise) in 2010.

Has anyone with a '12 or even '10 regeared to 4.56?

What i have found is that stock gearing is 3.727 and im pretty sure i have a 7.5 in reverse third up front and an 8 in diff out back. still not 100% sure.

I have an email in to chase at ECGS so im sure if it can be done he will know.

Anyone that has already done it please HELP

    thanx

Does anyone know if 4WP is correct in saying that toyota changed the diffs for the 2nd gens in 2010?

4wp are a bunch of monkeys. Steer clear.

I suspect Chase will know. I also suspect nothing has changed in the diffs.

I know this is an old dead thread but I'm in the same boat but with an 11'... I was also told that but not by 4wp... Can anyone confirm? I'm about to tow my enclosed car hauler from vegas to phoenix with 35's and a regear would definitely help out A LOT. Also if someone has a 10+ tacoma and regeared already, how much was it and what brand gears did you go with?
