Overloaded?

I have the LEER 100RCC , does your rack system utilize the DeWalt rack feet that LEER factory mounts ?

 

DAMN! now that IS a stuffed taco...lol

meh. I will wait till spring breaks. Can't spend $500 on leafs...

 

I've hear Tacos are not happy unless stuffed.

That I have no idea? But the brand is Kargomaster. It has its own mounting brackets. They are bolted to the shell. Here is the one I have. It holds 20' long PVC no problem.

Did you buy that cap new and did LEER mount it for you ?

 

I ordered both new and the Leer retailer mounted it for me.

Few pics of my stock non-TSB leafs with Toytec AAL. This is how loaded my Taco is every day...

 

This is what mine look like when loaded down with stuff, my truck only has the stock leaf springs. I need to do something about it real soon, the frame is practically resting on the bump stops!

 

I carry heavy constant loads too. I started out with airbags which did a great job, but there are benefits to a full leaf pack such as increased strength and stability. A good set will also combat axle wrap. I'm running All-pro expo springs and they have been great. They have handled everything I've thrown at them. While you are considering the cost of new springs, consider the cost of a broken leaf on the highway. Yes, they do break and yours (op) sound like a good candidate for trouble. there have been many threads about broken taco springs.

 

Thats how my truck was before I installed AAL... Thats REALLY NOT good!

 

I'm with some of the other posters, OP... I'd say go with Dakars or Alcans (Superlift also sells very good springs I can recommend from personal use) but I would also add Timbrens if you are going to be carrying a constant heavy load. Good luck.

Yup, I am waiting till they break. When they break I will either go with all-pro expeditions or ome dakars, not decided yet.

Now the best scenario would be if someone would total my truck so I can get the F250 4x4 double cab diesel I need. I am so upside down on this truck its not even funny

 

OP, How the heck did you get that bend in the springs in the third picture???? That dont look healthy....

Looks like the AAL is a different arc than the stock 2 on top of it

 

I'm an irrigation guy too, I tell people I get paid to lay pipe and sniff glue.

 

The two on top used to have the same arc until i crushed them with the cap and rack
