My Wet Okoles finally arrived today, more than a month after I placed the order, but I get it, they're custom made. Problem is they don't fit that great and the stitching looks like it was done by an amateur. I only ordered the front, but they are bulky and bunch up around the seat controls. They just seem like they're too big for the seats overall. Anyone else have that issue?

    thanks in advance

Wow, thanks for informing! I wanna order for my '12 AC soon but hopefully it was just a defective one you received. I would try calling them.

I did call and they said it would be 'OK'. I don't want OK for $300, I want a glove, and this isn't a glove-type fit. I'm wondering if the seats changed for 2012 and they're using 2011 measurements?

I actually just went through something similar with Weathertech floor mats. They make them for an 2012 automatic but not a manual. A local shop said they'd be fine and ordered them, but the fit like shit. The shop said it was normal and that in a few weeks once they got warm they'd mold to the floor. Bullshit.

Might check that you didnt mix up the drivers and passenger side covers. I did that at first and they fit alot better once swapped them.

I also had to remove the seats and do alot of tucking in to get them to fit just right, but im pleased with them overall.

They were kind enough to label the driver seat with a tag. Also, both the driver seat and passenger seat fit baggy.

I think Weathertech intends for you to trim the mat around the clutch pedal. At least that's the case with the floorliners.

Wonder if they sent you TRD seat covers by mistake?

Sounds like a mistake to me too, they should fit fairly tight. Youll have to call them, prolly more than once, to get that fixed tho.

That's a possibility. I'm going to call them tomorrow. As for the Weathertechs, they didn't fit flush near the door sills, everywhere else they seemed OK. But clearly not made for my floor wells.

Did the floormat retaining holes line up? If they then did, then they should be for the right model. My passenger side didn't sit correctly around the door sill at first, but corrected itself within a couple of days. Drivers side fit perfectly.

The holes were close, but pulled at the posts in the carpet that holds them in place. I was worried they'd pull the posts out of the carpet. I called Weathertech and they confirmed that they don't fit my truck and don't currently make a set that does. However, they have a request form on their website, so I suppose if enough people ask, they'll make them.

My pics suck - you're just gonna have to take my word that the fit blows on these.

For those of you who have Wet Okoles and are happy with them, do the seat fronts fit tight against the seats, or is there space between them and the Tacoma seats? Mine aren't tight against the seats and I feel like they should be. I had Tacoma seat covers on my '08 and they were pretty damn good.

Mine started out like yours. These pics both look like the bottom of the seats, try pulling them further back. The fit really tight under the back of the seat and I had to pull hard on mine to tighten them down. The spot that doesn't look good on the bottoms is around the lumbar support knob. This area definitely could have been better. The cut out looks to be a half inch to an inch too far forward. Other than that both covers fit very well. Just had to really pull them to back of the seat.

The only things that are baggy are the inside of the head rest covers. Might switch them around tomorrow and see if that changes anything. I also put the straps that run front/back over the bar for seat adjustment. It helped tighten them up and doesn't interfere with the bar.

Thanks for posting that, Hartford. Maybe I'm just being too picky?

Owl and Hartford...It looks like you guys have the seat bottom covers installed incorrectly. The covers should be tucked behind the plastic trim piece on the side of the seat bottoms, and not over them. Take a look at my post #535 on this thread: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/gr...up-buy-sept-27-2011-thru-oct-9-2011-a-27.html

That's at least part of the reason the covers look so sloppy. Tuck them behind the plastic piece and I think you'll be much happier.

Haven't ordered wet Okole's yet but I can confirm that the weathertech's do fit weird at first. Ordered a set for my 2012 AC and my girlfriends '02 4runner and it took a little while for them to relax and sit snug against parts of the floor.

Also if you have a manual you may have to notch the mats where the clutch goes in. Mine kept snagging on the clutch pedal every time I shifted. I pushed the pedal in by hand and notched around it and haven't had a problem with them since.
