Bad Throwout Bearing Symptoms help

Ok so I think my throwout bearing might be done. when there is no load on the tranny, like when i am not applying power, or i am applying constant power, the shifter and pedal vibrate.
when i stop if feels like im trying to stop with the car and gear and the clutch not pressed. so it feels like im going to stall.

Just wondering if my thoughts of the throwout bearing are correct.

There is no load on the throw-out bearing unless you are pressing on the clutch. If it squeals when you push the clutch in, or feels rough, the bearing could be bad, but that doesn't explain how it feels when you are stopping. That could have something to do with the clutch master or slave cylinder, but it doesn't explain the vibration. How many miles on the clutch? The vibration could be other things in the drive line.

 

Obviously without actually inspecting it myself I can't make a proper diagnosis, but my experience with transmissions and clutches lead me to believe that your "when i stop if feels like im trying to stop with the car and gear and the clutch not pressed" is indicative of either a bad clutch, pressure plate, or clutch slave/master cylinder. I would lean more towards a master or slave cylinder problem. How does the pedal feel? How does the truck react when already at a stop, with the pedal depressed, when both in and then out of gear? is there a difference?

 

i have 120,000 miles on my clutch, recently it has needed more gas then usual and feels like you are stalling when coming to a stop. once the clutch is all the way in and i have come to complete stop i can move the shifter around with no difference

 

Sounds like either hydraulics or pressure plate. 120K is about right for a clutch for someone with average driving habits, some people get less, some more. I have rarely seen clutch hydraulics go out, but they aren't expensive to replace.

 

Sorry for all the questions, but again, without being there answers to questions sometimes breed other questions to verify.

How far up do you have to lift the pedal before it starts to grab? Does the pedal engage lower than it used to? (quicker) or do you have to nearly let your pedal off the clutch pedal to get any grip?

Moving the shifter around is not that big of a deal. What I am curious about is if you have it in gear, and the clutch fully depressed, does the truck try to move if you don't have your foot on the brake if in gear?

 

With that many miles, there's a good chance your clutch is going. I've rarely seen a clutch on newer rigs go longer than 150k, no matter how nice you drive it.

 

Just throwing in my 2¢ in, there is a TSB for Throw out bearing for 08' and up. The catch is has to be done before 60,000 miles.
I found it for a friend and he had it done. The dealer put in a clutch as well as his was worn. They only charged parts for the clutch as they were all ready in there for the throw out bearing.

But I have a question my truck started to make a chirp the other day, almost like crickets and when i pusjed the clutch in it went off. So throw out bearing

 

And expensive fix
