has anyone noticed how fast the seat belt retracts when its released ? my passenger side top part of my door panel has small marks from being hit with the seat belt clasp when someone doesnt hold on to hit when they release it . i figured out how to rub on the plastic to diminish the marks but now i have noticed its lost it original shine in those areas , anyone know how to get the shine back .

Put a piece of adhesive backed velcro (the soft side) right on the spot where the buckle hits. They sell it at Home Cheapo in 2" circles. This will protect the plastic and quiet the noise from the buckle hitting the door when retracting.

Not only do I have these scratches, but I also have a cool dent inside my door jamb from when I tried slamming the door on the seat belt buckle......

You would think they would/could make the plastic for those areas just a little bit harder to prevent this?
