clean engine bay

    i use super clean on the engine itself or wherever grease is, then spray detailer on the painted surfaces and plastics... then go over bigger plastics with back to black... cold or "warm" engine... never did or will do hot

    xsp package, 20" enkei deep six wheels,33" cooper zeon ltz, borla exhaust, borla intake, carbon fiber trim, weathertech mats, Halo HID lights, black grille surround with mesh, smoked 3rd break and tails, 3" toytec coilovers with bilstein strut, AAL and bilstein 5160 in the rear, led tag lights, led interior lights, NTW plated bumper, anytime fog mod, blue and white cluster swap, UWS toolbox,
    i used simple green to clean the whole underside of my truck. Including the whole front and rear suspension and frame. It worked amazing! The next day i noticed some small streaking. I would definitely suggest following up with water and a brush!

    Great thread, one question I couldn't figure out from seeing some of the posts and videos though:
    Some people mentioned leaving the engine running while you clean it, some seemed to imply that they didn't. What is the verdict on this?

    I only start the engine after I hose everything off not when I'm actually cleaning it:).
