Rear right shock weak

I noticed today that my right rear (passenger) side shock absorber has significantly more play then the left side. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I am thinking it would be best to replace both rear absorbers.

What exactly do you mean?

 

Best to change in pairs.

 

When pushing downward on the back of the truck. The passenger side of the truck absorbs more of the weight.

 

If it bounces when you let up more than a couple times then yeah probably replace both rear shocks. If it bounces when you drive it then yeah replace both.

If you push it down and it comes up and bounces twice and stops I'd run em unless you really feel the need to replace.

 

Usually the passenger rear side does get most of the abuse though, as in general it's the farthest from the driver and you tend to run more shit over with it.

 

Soooo you mean the SPRING resists pressure less?

Yes it sounds like spring damage.

 

yes that is a great way to put it. I'm going to take the wheel off and get a closer look sometime this week.

 

You should ba able to get a pretty good look at it by crawling under the truck
