06 prerunner sr5(RIP) 2018 Focus Hatchback

i have a cobra 75, and cant get good grounds, i have a 5' firestik 2 and have mounted it to the inside of the bed just below the rail that the tiedowns are in, i do have it grounded to the frame and striped the paint off first, but i try to tune it and it maxes out the scale for swr bolth on channel 1 and 40. qany help would be welcomed, i'm in las vegas, nevada
