Fan only works in "HIGH"

As title said my in cabin fan only works in "HIGH". What is wrong and what part do I need to replace?

 

Blower motor resistor

 

Yup, my bro had this issue with his Ford Focus and it was the Blower Motor Resistor. For Tacoma's it's part# W0133-1926734. Write up on how to replace, wicked easy.

 

Close, may not be the resistor. I could also being the wiring is overheated. With the fan set on 1-3 wiggle the wires to the resistor plug. I Pull the plug from the resistor and check to see if it's burnt.

Mine was doing that to, the resistor is under the glove compartment, the guide on the 3rd post shows the resistor/connection. I just wiggled mine and it works fine. I think a passenger must have stuck there foot up there and kicked it loose. Try wiggling it around first with the fan set to low see if it will kick on.

 

Ditto. I got away with just reseating the connector plug on mine. Don't know how long that will last, but so far so good. I did work some ox-guard electrical grease down into the pin sockets before reconnecting.

 

I unplugged the resistor plug then connected it back, works great now
