    So I really have been thinking about getting a soft top rear lid for my AC. I was wondering the pros and cons and if owners here are stratified with there. I know they don't offer security, but some shelter when needed. I recently hosted a handgun class, and as the host my truck was the meeting post and refreshment station. I would of likes to have some shelter and a cover at night for gear if it rained. Do they make road noise and do they leak? Will I lose fuel economy? I really think a soft top fold a way cover could be handy. Thanks guys an girls.

    Search button is your friend, here are a few of the good threads although there are many more;

    Also I have one on my 01 and I love it. Haven't had too many opportunities to use it yet but when I have I've been glad that I have it and that I can fold it down so fast without taking it off.

    I've got the Soft Topper. I love it. It's versatile, there when I need it, folded away when I don't. Mine hasn't had any real major leaks, maybe a trickle here and there under serious downpour conditions (but I'm in SoCal, so that doesn't happen often ;)). As far as MPG, I'm not sure, never really bothered to track it.

    It does make a nice place to sleep in a pinch though :)

    i have a softopper, too. i chose that brand because the front window is removable and on the bestop it isn't. i took it on an extended road trip and it held up fine in serious new mexico crosswinds. i don't think it affects MPG much, either, as I had 20.8 mpg doing an avg of 80 mph with 40+ mph crosswinds much of the time. granted, that was on pretty flat roads but the highest I've averaged without the topper is 21 anyways.
