I used to work on them. I know. Just to give you an example, the 2001-2005 Honda Civics were notorious for blowing the head gaskets within 100k. The reason why was because the head bolts were not torqued down enough which was causing all kinds of strange problems. I have never seen the accords have such an issue before.
I was talking about the 08 he has. Road noise is the same. That 97 Civic is still going with almost 200K on it.

Ahh, gotcha! Yeah those good old Honda's they take a lickin and keep on tickin (the 97) lol.
