Are those the only engine options when using the holodeck?

I've seen some posts where there has been some trouble with the '12s, but mine has been fantastic to this point. I've owned two other 2nd Gens and an '07 4Runner and my '12 has all of them beat.

Correct, only plasma torches on the Tacoma.

You want best year, go vintage with 2245 cyborg-trim t-truck, the last year before new UFP regs because they had so much power that California almost went into the ocean during a drag race

Although 2246 would play MP9 audio, would be nice, not that it matters much because the stock radios still short out after 2 years

Lol.

Don't forget the noisy reactor blower motor and weak rear photonic leaf springs.

2012 FTW!

In all seriousness though, as an owner of a manual transmission, I would definitely want 2010+ as I believe that's when they (supposedly) fixed the TO bearing issue.

I previously owned an '05 and loved it, but definitely had a bit a of envy for some the features that were introduced later as it got older.

Personally, I really like the look of the 2012s better, inside and out ... but time will tell how the 2012 model year does in areas that matter most: long-term performance and reliability. It is a Toyota though...so I'm I've giving 'em pretty good odds.
