Okay guys so I've replaced my wheel bearing about 2 weeks ago and now I am still getting a vibration like its my wheel bearing going out again. I popped it back off and when I rotate the bearing in the hub it moves free with no issues. Before I popped it off there was a little play in it but it was def on tight and all the bolts were secure. Has anyone experienced this??

    Thanks guys!

...after spinning the bearing on the hub assembly off the truck, it feels like there is some play in it. Could the shop that pressed the bearing in not have pressed it in all the way?? I mean I wouldn't think so but then again there is no way it is going out again after 2 weeks I hope to GOD.

Well its possible to crush plastic cage during pressing. So its possible bearign got damaged but I would not be writting it off, just yet. Did you tightened CV nut t o 173ft-lb? If its not tighten then bearing will feel loose. Try to re-tightening again to 173 and see what happens if its still getting loose then most likely cage is crushed so you will need new bearing.
BTW sure way to prevent cage crush is to rotate bearing as it is getting pressed.

If the cage was crushed wouldn't it have started making a noise right after I started to drive on it? Because it just started doing it a few days ago...

Not necessary. It had plenty of grease t o chew through and cage may have been crushed but not to the point where rollers where just riding next to each other. Try retightening to 173 and if that does not stop bearing from being loose than you need new one.
Pressing that thing together is like space shuttle lunch. It needs to sit even, rollers have to spread the pressure so they dont bunch up and crush the cage and it has to be at right depth. Plus peopel forget that new bearings need break in period and they get sited in first few hundred miles. I would say retighten CV nut and see what happens.
I am almost with 10 000 on mine after they got replaced and they are as tight as new truck has them.

Alright I'll try that and see what happens...so if not can I just take it to a shop and have them press it in a little more?...or has it already sh^t the bed? lol

Honestly it should be tight, so if its loose most likely has a problem. However, it could be that they had pressed bearing not far enough over the hub hence play. So you can ask them to press in, but easiest test is to have CV nut at 173lbft holding bearing together if its loose like that then is busted. Because that nut is what holds bearing with correct preload. Pressing only gets bearing into the right depth. nut is there to hold it together with out any play.

Gotcha...thank you so much BlueT, I really do appreciate it. When I set the assembly on the garage floor I can see the outter part (on the outside of the black seal) wiggle just slightly and that is where I am getting the play. I'll have to see if I can dig out my torque wrench. Honestly I didn't know that nut had to be torqued to a certain spec I just cranked it as tight as I could with my hand.

    :D NP
Nut has to be at 173 anything less and bearing will be loose and with driving it will destroy itself. but after removing from the wheel it should still be tight, if its loose i hate to say it you may have have to replace this thing again. Dont worry takes few bearing replacements to learn ;)

Yea this is the 2nd time I've done this haha I'll tell you what I just did...prolly not the best thing to do but it is not wiggling anymore...I set the assembly on the ground and smacked it with a mallet hammer, with a piece of wood flat across the surface and wacked the hell out of it...and its not wiggling anymore haha

:D Desperate times call for desperate measures.
    Hopefully it just needs preload.

You can probably get cheap one from autozone. Your problem is gogin t o be getting seal that goes between hub and wheel bearing.

I wouldn't drive on it. Have you ever seen a bearing weld itself to an axle or hub. It's ugly...

    none yet
I just replaced my passenger side bearing, and the vibes were worse after I put the new one on. I talked to the parts store and they ordered me a new one, said sometimes they are bad, they even pressed them for me at no charge! Only problem is its still vibrating, now what?
I also just installed Billies set at 1.75", but I drove it a few days before I replaced the bearing and no vibes untill the bearing was replaced
