2012 Tacoma Dynograph (1GR 4.0L V6 TRD Catback Exhaust)

I did a baseline dyno today before my supercharger kit. I was looking for dyno's and had some trouble finding some so I figured I'd link this here:

Only performance mod is a TRD Catback Exhaust. Dyno was in humid and hot conditions.

So I am on the fence of getting a TRD Exhaust right now.. You recommend on 2012?

 

So overall it ain't as good as Toyota says it is..not surprized :l

Were you using 87 or 91 octane fuel? 91 octane is said to give an extra 11 lb-ft of torque.

 

That's pretty cool man dynojets aren't bad but mustang and dyno mite are a few other dynos that simulate the road much better. Dynojets are supposed to have somewhat inflated numbers from what I've read. Just my two cents not tryin to rip on you just trying to inform you some. Maybe there is a mustang dyno in your area? By the way sick truck bro

 

Are you aware of driveline losses, as well as the difference ambient temperature makes? Nothing wrong with these WHP numbers.

 

Yeah companies measure the engine HP from the crank instead of the wheels to boost their advertised numbers.

So that's what, about 15% parasitic loss. That's about right. Obviously, cooler, less humid temps would yield slightly better numbers. Good info.

 

I must be WAY below said numbers then!...

 

My VW Rabbit had more whp than that, but the butt dyno says the Taco is quicker. Must be the V6 roar throwing me off.
