so recently i noticed my abs light will come on while driving, but only while i put the right turn signal on. when the light is on and i shut the truck off and hit the lock button, the headlights, turn signals, and brake lights will all flash instead of just the turn signals. anybody have this happen?

after going for a drive today i figured out that if the brakes are on when i put the right turn signal on, the abs light comes on only after i let off the breaks. if the breaks aren't on when i put on the turn signal, the abs light comes on within one or two flashes of the blinker. this is only with the right turn signal, the left has no effect on the abs light. any thoughts?

Do you have the 7 pin trailer socket? If you do, I'd check there for mud or corrosion shorting the pins, and for any damage.

The brake light circuit is an input to the ABS, and if it got a low voltage input from a short it could cause a fault and the light to come on. A bad ground to one of the taillights could do it too.

I installed a tow wire harness a few years back, I removed the tail lights disconnected and cleaned (dirty) using CRC electrical spray cleaner, reset light with scanner.

My tow wire harness connects in the tail lights.

As of now ABS light still off.

    ABS light again. Round two

I found debris on the two wheel speed sensors, I believe this is the cause for ABS light.

I am also having this issue. I recently got new taillights, which are LED. The turn signals had hyperflash and the abs light would come on. I got two resistors and installed them today, and the hyperflash is fixed. The abs light still comes on after a couple of blinks. If I press the brake pedal while the turn signals are on, no abs light comes on. I do have a tow wiring harness though.

I'm researching for a very similar issue on my 98 LX470. I replaced the brake and turn signal bulbs with LEDs and changed the relay so I wouldn't get the hyper flash. Now when the headlights are are and I use the left turn signal the ABS light comes on. That subsequently will disconnect the cruise control if you are using it and there's also a surge in the engine every time the turn signal lights up, about 50-100 RPM.

Lots of people saying check the trailer harness so I'm gonna replace that next. There's no telling how old it is since the truck is from 98. If anyone has fixed this let me know.
