Oil level in differential?

At 35,000 I pulled the plugs on my gearboxes ('06 four cylinder, 2wd shortbed) and the tranny was full to the bottom of the check plug, while the differential took almost a quart. This truck is a highway vehicle and does not get driven hard. Any ideas?

If it's not leaking out one of the plugs, then another possibility could be a leaky rear axle seal. A quart definately sounds like a lot to be down to me.

Differential level

I am certain there were no leaks, so I must have a Monday/Friday truck. I wonder what else they forgot to do. My nearest dealer is 250 miles away.

If its leaking it would be wet looking around the pinion seal.
