I have Pelfreybilt Aluminum bumper in the front with winch, steel skids all around, sliders and steel rear bumper on mine. The extra weight up front will be noticeable when cornering or braking and your truck will drop about 1/2". I upgraded the front springs to Eibach 700# springs, and replaced the rear leafs with Dakar minus 1 leaf. All is well again.

Thanks for the response. I was actually thinking about trading in my baja for a tacoma trd 4x4 if i had to upgrade the entire suspension system. So with those upgrades, you got the height back and it drives like a champ again?

Yep. It feels great again. Also, the Dakar leafs are much stronger, so you can put more stuff in the bed without the truck going nose high.

I'll go with Kings suspension eventually though, after these shocks give out or if I need more lift.

So I have your setup but with aluminum skids instead. I think i'm going to stay with the baja stock shocks (supposedly their Eibach 650#springs). What you think?

What leaf did you remove from the Dakars?

You should still be ok. You'll ride about 1/4" or so lower.

I removed the 3rd leaf from the top on the Dakars.

I saw a 2012 Baja, 6 speed with only 30k miles, mint condition sell for $37k, which surprised me. I expected more as it is the older 4.0L and a 6 speed. Has anyone sold theirs? Is there a market for this rare truck?

A low mileage 4.0 6 speed 4x4 of any 2nd Gen trim is very much desired and highly sought after. Throw in the Baja package and you’ve got something especially special.
How many miles on yours? And post up some pics too:thumbsup:

My truck is a 6 speed, access cab, black with 112k miles. Very rare. It's hard to find a photo of it online, which is why I was disappointed to see the truck on BringaTrailer only sell for 37k. I expected $45+
