I bought a set of four Bilstein 5100's for my 2010 Tacoma...never got around to installing them...

    I bought a new 2012 TRD Sport 4x4...

are the factory installed Bilstein's comparable to the 5100's? I don't off road.

I bought the 5100's mainly to level out the 2010 after the rear TSB 4-leaf was installed. The new truck has the 4-leaf and sits plenty level. Matter of fact...I really like the stance of the new truck and have no desire to change that.

should I consider them for my new truck? or just hang with the factory shocks and sell the "new-in the-box" 5100's?

    opinions...facts...fictions...hyperbole, appreciated. :D

but if I have to do a front end alignment?...

I may be better just selling the 5100's.

Someone will get a good deal.

Not sure, really. What do you think they're worth? I've been back and forth on pulling the trigger on a set from DSM. You might want to weigh them and get pricing on shipping to 67215.

too bad you didn't have them a month ago when i was in town. i could have just picked them up and avoided shipping. although, it would make a good excuse to vacation again. just have to convince the wife...

shipping is the killer...DSM shipped for free (when I bought mine)

I'm willing to make someone a good deal. of course, local pickup would make the best deal for both parties. I'm thinking 250.00, depending on who pays shipping?

I'll look into shipping costs before I post in the for sale section, so I'm better prepared.

sounds good. i'd like to have first chance at buying if you're ok with that (unless someone else responded first) $250 shipped is enough discount to get started, i would think. I'm going to get some sleep, but i'll check back in the morning.

    so...

can anyone convince me to keep these 5100's for my new truck?

is the cost of install (and alignment) worth it? will the ride improve to a noticeable degree over the factory Bilsteins on my brand new TRD Sport?

    Thanks

I probably will sell them, since no one has been able (or willing) to convince me otherwise.
