Hey everyone....recently purchased a 2012 O/R DCSB 4x4 MGM. A coworker of mine was complaining that the OE tires "only" lasted 50,000 miles on his Nissan Armada. I used to work for Goodyear at their HQ and I thought that was pretty good!

I am curious to see how long everyone's OE tires lasted on their Tacos. I have the 265.70.16 BFG's and I am hoping to get 40-50 out of them. What kind of luck have you guys had (please post what OE tire came on your truck).

Yes, i searched for this but i couldn't find anything.

The Dunlop's that came on my truck only lasted 30k but so did the Yokohama's I ran after that and the Bridgestone's I ran after them. My tire that lasted the longest so far are still on my truck Kelly Safari TSR's I have 40k+ on them and they still have plenty of tread

The Dunlops I had on the '05 SR5 lasted abt 30k, but I'm hoping these BFG's (I have the same exact truck as you :D) last A LOT longer than that

most manufacturers put soft tires on stock, so that the test drive and initial experience is a very smooth ride, thus, they wear out fast.

50,000 miles is the typical warranty for a light truck tire, and the Armada is a big honkin SUV in the same weight range as a Sequoia or Yukon.

Yea, I was really impressed. And the manufacturers actually build the OE tires for the specific vehicle. The AT20s you buy as replacements aren't 100% the same as OE.

I traded in my 2011 with the Dunlops at 20,000 miles. They still had plenty of tread and they actually did very well in that huge snow storm lady October. I was pretty impressed. I just don't know what to expect out of these BFGs.

I drove mine straight to my tire dealer and he allowed me $200 on a new set of Toyo's

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I've got 37,000 on the original Dunlop AT20's. No problems. In fact everyone hates them so much I may pick up a few more new take off sets, cheap. Keep on hatin'! See above ^^ new take offs...$200. That's about as cheap as it gets.

Yea I might do the same with the BFGs. If I get new then I'll go with Goodyear Silent Armor, awesome combo tire!

New my tires had 12/32 of thread, they now have 9/32 left with 10k. At that rate I may get 30K, if I'm lucky. Good chance I'll scrap them before like maybe at 20K or 5/32 since I'm itching for MT.
