steering damper wtf. pic

i have never seen this before

 

because that's a whole other level of retarded and despite most people's efforts... they're not there yet

 

What's wrong with it

 

we had a guy in FL with one. it came on the truck when he got it used, but he liked it.

it'd be nice for wheeling sometimes, like when you hit that rock just right and it throws your steering wheel to full lock. i would hope that people who wheel terrain that could cause such a thing know how to hold the wheel so not to brake your thumbs, but a dampener would make it a little safer and comfortable, for people of any skill level realy.

 

pretty sure it's just the two u-bolts on the outer tie rod end, and then an eyelet with that uses a steering rack bolt. not 100% on the second part, but i' sure you could use it without a drop bracket. worst case, you have to spend half an hour making your own inner brackets.

 

Doesn't that help with death wobble?

3 times. Road force balanced too. Just one of those things I live with everyday. At least at 65mph and up it's gone.

 

Yeah my buddy had to take $6000 in parts off his new JK because he just had a baby and doesn't trust the Jeep with the wobble he had. Nobody can trust a Jeep...not even Jeep owners.
