Water Drain Drilling (Undercover Flex or Bakflip)

I'm looking to get a folding tonneau, and I think I've narrowed it down to either the Undercover Flex or the Bakflip (G2 or Fibermax).

Not really a huge fan of having to drill holes in the bed for drain tubes, but if it's gotta be done... Any suggestions on best location?

I've also toyed with the idea of using a plastic tubing reducer and routing the larger drain tubes to a smaller tube run through one of the existing 1/4" drainage holes already drilled in the bed from the factory.

Of course, I would dress everything neatly! Thoughts?

 

I did just that. Made the holes bigger and stuck the tubes down them.
No problems so far...

 

I routed my G2 hose to the cubby hole on both side. No drill required.

Balot64, I'm curious to know... Are you talking about the storage bins located near the rear of the bed? Do you have a pic of your installation?

 

I have G2 on my 2012, I put the drain hose in the empty cubby hole where some people put the lights for their bed light. the cubby hole has a couple of small hole. Look at this short cut to see what I'm talking about.
