you'll need new UCAs if you don't have the correct backspacing with your wheels.

also, without new UCAs to correct your caster, you'll feel that your steering wheel will be all over the place at highway speeds.

I went a few good months with a lift and no new UCAs and it bothered the hell out of me. Then when wheelers had a GB on TC UCAs, I jumped on it.

I believe the 885's without the top plate spacer will give you 2.5"s of lift so you might be okay without aftermarket UCA's. I have that setup up front on my truck...885's with 5100's set at 0" lift with top plate spacers so I get just around 3"s of lift. Then for the rear I have 2" AAL's with ICON resi's.

Do you get right at 3 inches or a little more up front with the spacer?

I have 885 with 5100s set at Zero and 1/2" top plate spacer. I also have the Light Racing UCAs to get my caster back. If you drive at slower speeds around 55 to 60 mph you won't notice the decrease in caster as much as you would on the interstate running 75 mph. I drove mine for a few months without new UCAs and it wasn't unbearable.

I ordered a complete OME kit with Dakar rear leafs, 9000 series struts, 885 coils, ect, and nobody mentioned anything about needing to buy new Upper control arms. Do I NEED them, or will my stock ones be ok?

When you get your alignment done...if they can get the caster set within the 2 - 3 range you will be fine. Worst case is that you will be too low on caster which will make your truck a little twitchy at highway speeds. You can always get upper control arms later if you need them.

I bought, what they called trim packers, to level the front. (from rocky road outfitters)

Should be just one trim packer for the driver's side

No top plate spacers means you will probably get about 2 1/2" of front lift which is at the top end of what works with the stock UCA's to get a good alignment

The salesman told me that their trim packers are different from others, and to use both. He said after installation, there will not be a noticeable lean like I have heard other taco owners complain about. Has any one here bought the complete kit from Rocky Road Outfitters?

So it is a top plate spacer then ?

The OME trim packer is a ring that goes on the driver's side shock only , it sits below the coil perch

is it an an OME trim packer you bought through Rocky Rd? if so, you only put one on the driver's side.

    edit:
From their website: The Rocky Road Trim Leveling kit. This optional add-on adds about a 5/8" boost to your front
Old Man Emu suspension to help bring the front up to a more level stance when installed.

    spacers?

I'll call them, get their info, and post it in a couple hours. Check back later for the details. Thanks for all of the feedback

Sounds like a top plate spacer set up

Probably a thicker spacer on the driver's side

Hell, I'm running 886s with stock UCAs on my accesscab (with ARB and winch); they're tight, but alignment has been fine. Guess I got lucky.

I could use a packer to adjust the lean though.

here are pics of the trim packers I received today

They measure about .200 thick (which is just a little over 3/16's of an inch.)
I talked to a rep from Rocky mountain Outfitters, and he explained that those are installed on the top of the strut. Both spacers are the same thickness, and he said that they have never had any feedback from customers complaining of a "lean" after installation
