:DLadies and Gentleman:D, i am finally doing it. Over the past 3 years, i have read this website like my bible.

Granted, i know, i have minimal posts. I felt somewhat hesitant, since i have not been a part of the family since my 1st Gen 1998 was totaled. I have been quiet, not wanting to ask stupid questions with nothing to put wrench time into.

I am going to start by saying i appreciate all of your hard work and detailed builds, posted on this site. It has served me well in my decisions and motivations.

With that said, as long as all goes well, I am buying a 2012 Super White, Access Cab, TRD Off Road..... Tomorrow!!! The unfortunate thing is i will not have it until Tuesday, for The Boys and I are going to Lake Powell 6:00 am Friday morning. I dont need to bore you with the details.

I will now start by asking the "stupid questions". When I aquire this truck, I believe it will have around 25 miles on it, most of which, i have driven. Do you have any advice on "the first miles". Taking it slow? don't tow? the usual. Any links on advice that has already been posted?

I would appreciate any input you have to offer.

I am very glad to finally be a part of the Tacoma World again!!! Almost

p.s. and yes, i will post pics first thing!!!

Congrats. I just got a 2012 DCSB OR 4x4 6 weeks ago. I wouldn't worry about the break in period. Its a Toyota and it will last through anything. Its my 3rd one and no regrets.

Just drive it nice for 500 miles, then start to get into it a little here ands there. Change oil at 1000 miles and drive it hard for one tank full, hard. Everything should be seated and matched to each other. Regular oil change intervals after that.
Congrats on the new truck, love my Tacoma after 3, 2nd gen Tundras.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Drive it like you normally would but vary the speeds and acceleration on the highway. White is awesome. Congrats!

P.S. Around 10,000 miles, I'd change out the rear end gear lube to synthetic- mine was filthy. The trans looked clean but I still changed over. Very smooth now.
