    Vehicle:
2nd Gen TRD Sport DCSB 4X4
    The truck:
    - Magnetic Gray
    - DCSB 4X4 V6 Auto
    - TRD Sport Upgrade
    - Entune Nav
    - Daytime Running Lights
    - V6 Tow Package
    - Wheel Locks
    - All Weather Mats
    - SS TRD Tailpipe

    The Deal:
    - They say invoice is $33,166 but how do you really know?
    - The MSRP is $35,240.
    - The dealer is discounting it $3K and change off MSRP (about 9%).
    - They're giving me $18.5K in trade on a 2007 DCSB 4X4 Sport with 78K miles in excellent shape.
    - In MD, subtracting the trade from the selling price saves me another $1.1K

I put 25K miles on my truck a year. Next year I will hit 100K miles. The only reason I'm thinking about trading is while 100K miles on a Tacoma is nothing, no one is going to want to give me $18.5K once I hit 100K miles. I can get into the new one for little to nothing in cash and have a next to nothing car payment.

My only problem is while the 2012 is a little tighter, the seats are a little firmer, and the steering wheel has a larger grip, it seems to be the same truck. The only real benefit is my odometer goes back to zero and if I were to buy a 6 year 100K warranty extension (about $1K) I'll have a little less than 5 years of trouble free driving.

    Thaoughts?

I wouldn't hesitate. The 0 miles mod is by far the best.

Not to mention, you get the LED tails, more advanced traction control systems, iPod interface (especially sweet with entune), and an overall newer truck. Jump on it, man...before somebody else does :D

That's a good deal. I just bought same truck in June, except long bed. Paid $ 33,100.

I wouldn't waste the money on 6/100 Like you mentioned you won't have any major problems, and you'll most likely you'll trade again once you get up there in mileage, like you are now.
