all while my girlfriend is in the seat... just rolled 22k miles on my '12 and never a problem. I noticed while driving that all of those lights were on. we stopped and pulled over and shut off the truck, she got out blah blah blah tried to reset it...

came home and disconnected the battery, let it sit with it off for a bit. reconnected it and the light is still on.

any ideas what i should try other then bring it to the dealer?

    thanks in advance.

(airbag light on, as in a cel in the instrument panel)

The light on the center panel near the clock that says "AIRBAG" never shuts off... it's annoying, but it's always on.

    How heavy is she?
I don't know what weight triggers the system, but when there is nothing in the seat, it will not activate the seatbelt alarm or airbag.
With some weight in the seat, but what, in Toyota's opinion, is not an adult (child in a car seat), the airbag will remain off, but the seatbelt alarm is active.

But if she was in the seat and her belt was fastened, the seat belt light and alarm should have been off no matter what her weight.
Try it again with her holding a stack of books or a couple of brake drums.

Guess a few of you don't understand wtf I'm saying. It's like a code was thrown. Its Saying passenger seatbelt not on when it's on. And saying airbag off, when there is someone in there that it should be on. And a airbag light on in the instrument panel.

As for her measurements... She has no tits and has a 120lb ass.

Okay... airbag light on the dash indicates a problem with the airbag system itself or it has detected a fault in one of the sensors.
Get it back to the dealer ASAP.

Disconnecting the battery will not reset an airbag controller fault

And calm down... we're trying to help, but we can't read your mind. All we can go by is exactly what you say is happening.
We've had more than one person think the "AIRBAG" on the center panel is not normal.

    Then find a different dealership.
You aren't married to the one where you bought the truck.

I'm beyond calm. I figured people could figure out what I'm saying as I've been driving it for how long.. Would be pretty stupid if I just now noticed the actual "airbag light" has been on. But then again you never know.

Yup never gone to the one I bought from as they are a state away. And the others are shit. Was only asking if there was something "I" could do. As in a home fix example disconnect battery, stomp the gas, shit the door, and open the tailgate.. Kind of thing. If not, then I would have to take it to the dealer so they can fix it.

    He has a 2012.

Not yet covered by the recall, and really, too early for the spiral cable/clockspring to have failed.

It is most likely an issue with the sensors in the passenger seat.

Just a thought... anyone recently shove anything under the seat?
Reach/look up under there and make sure that everything is connected properly.
That might clear some of the alarms, but the SRS light still needs a dealer reset.

It was my L/F sensor on the front bumper reinforcement was corroded. Pop the hood and look down to the front bumper aluminum reinforcement..see the yellow wires going to the sensor? Perhaps unplugging that and plugging back in will clean the terminals or the sensor is shot, like mine was.

I'm having similar problems after cleaning out my truck. I slammed the seat all the way back to get under it with my shop vac, and I think some wires hit an atlas I keep under there (my only logical explanation).

Anyway, you're saying the only way to turn the light of is with a dealer reset? Is this going to be an arm and a leg, or should I live with the light for awhile?
