Checked every single fuse. Nothing is blown. I just put a new all pro rear bumper on my truck, and wired the universal license plate lights. I connected the first one with ease, but the second one sparked while tapping the wires, and now my license plate lights/ tail lights will not come on while the truck is running.

Also, the lights for heat, fan speed, fan direction etc will not light up?

Did I short something out, a relay? I really don't want to go to the stealership again...

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Check the fuses again and unplug the battery when you're working on electrical. Are you sure one of those wires you taped together isn't a ground wire?

The universal light had two wires coming out of it; both were black. I cut the old light that plugs into the stock bumper, stripped it, and attached the wires via a wire connecter. I put black- black, green- black. Wasn't sure which was ground and so forth. The lights came with no directions, they were 4$ each.

So you don't have a clue and just wired it up ...

Do you have a multimeter? Read each wire to ground with the bulb removed. Whichever wire reads low resistance to ground is the ground wire and the other one should be tied to the power.

Always disconnect the battery when doing electrical work. I also vote for a blown fuse. Replace it after fixing your ground problem.
