Sui, I'm glad you're keeping. I think babytruck needs a new mod since you almost traded him in, lol. I should be there on the 16th, see you soon.

Okay I went by to take pics of the truck and chatted with the guys for a bit.

I was going to take a pic of the stain on the back seat but the way the sun and shadows were on it, it would not show well. Because the stain was so big, I HAD to snoop around more so I pulled up the seat. In the cubby storage there was a bunch of dog hair and leaves and dirt. The seat belt where it disappears under the seat had a white tag on it that was so yellow it was almost brown. I am wondering if the dog had urinated in it. It did have a weird smell in the vehicle.

    Anyway...

In talks what it came out to was that with my trade I would owe them 10k out the door.

Why? Because my car is red and a stick. Nobody wants a red stick shift car. I pointed out that Toyota discontinued that blue and kept the Barcelona Red. There must be a reason, no? So they deducted for that and the fact that I am giving them stock steel wheels and tires. I told them that their truck had 30k more miles than mine, a ton of scratches, what looks to be some sort of bodily fluid samples and dog hair.

I also pointed out that their blue truck also had NO WARRANTY whatsoever. Not even the stupid one month one.

He said that now our cars will balance out.

I told him that I didn't want waste his and my time anymore or to insult him by asking him to reconsider. (of course that last part was sarcastic). I asked him for my ID and registration back, shook his head, said thank you for your time and got into my cheap worthless RED STICK SHIFT babytruck.

Now I'm going to try to see if I can get him some sliders. :D

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    $10,000. That's a BIG lift kit!

Yeah when he told me how much they would give me for my truck I just gave him a huge smile. He thought I was excited to hear his words.

I thought you might go and check it out anyway.
Never would I have given him an ID and Reg to begin with.
Like I said before. Brand new for you is the only way you will be happy.
They would have had to do nothing to your truck and just put it out and add a nice big price.
Glad you found out it wasn't as nice as you thought it was. Now you can sleep at night.
Oh yea, do a mod to make you feel good inside like SCS mentioned.

He needed my ID so I can drive the truck and the registration to make sure it was mine to trade.

And yes, I had to solve my curiosity. Or rather, prove it to myself that this truck was really not worth it. It had a lot more yuckiness to it than I originally thought. Thank you. :)

But yeah. I'm trying to get together some money to do the sliders I've always wanted.

You definitely made the right choice...that blue truck was beat and way overpriced. Your truck looks great and you know how it's been treated since day 1.
