    few questions:

    Do you like it?
Did it get rid of vibes?
    What model/make do you have?
knowing what you know, would you spend the money on it again?

    thanks!

Damn. Being new here I researched this. Didn't know I may have a prob.
So is Tom woods the one to go to for a one piece?

I'm still digging thru threads. Lots of reading on my part.

whats the problem? Tom woods is good i guess. but you can have one piece shafts made up by any driveline shop.

After reading more,I can't have a one piece after all. I have a prerunner, too long for one piece.

I've heard a pop when coming to stop, once.
Haven't heard it since. I only have 37k on my 07. Got more reading to do.

prob nothing to do with your driveshaft. torque all your U-bolts to 80lbs, they only come from the factory torqued to 37lbs. that will solve your problem.

Resurrecting this thread since I have experience with a one piece drive shaft. My last Tacoma was an '07 DCSB with the 5100/eibach/AAL lift and was experiences some vibes that no matter what could not get rid of. I tried shims and CB drops, nothing worked. I was referred to a drive line specialist in Portland called 5 state (I think that was the name). I was fitted one day and came back two days later for the install. No more vibes!!! take off vibe and the usual 15-25 vibe were all gone. Cost me $500 out the door and was worth every penny.

Fast forward two years, now my '12 has slight vibes and my lift isn't even installed yet. I'm already planning on doing the one piece again. It's a lot of money for sure, but for my own sanity of driving a smooth vehicle I say it's worth it.

Here's a pic of the tacoma just for fun.

I have one! Had vibes after my lift on take off and around 25 mph. Went to a driveline shop and was quoted 170.00. Had them measure and make me one. They installed and take of vibe was gone! However I had same 25mph vibes and new 60mph vibes. Took it back and they made me a lightweight aluminum drive shaft no extra cost and now all vibes gone! Twas a happy day!

The shop I went to was 5 states as well as they guy above me but I guess I got lucky on my price.

Nice work, Utah 5 States is whoring out their drive shafts on the cheap!
