Hey guys, have a 2010 Tacoma with the gray seats.

I noticed one day after working out, it looked like I left a bit of an outline of a sweat stain on the seat. Then the other day I left the pool and I guess didn't dry off well enough, and it left a huge ring stain on the seat.

Any ideas on how to clean it?

When I still had the factory Dunlop tires, I went into a tight turn and left a stain my seat too.

Use the furniture cleaning attachment off of a carpet cleaner and repeat as needed.

The seats are not stain resistant in the least. I treated with a bunch of ScotchGuard when I first got the truck - it may have helped over not using ScotchGuard but the seats still attracted stains like mad.

Then for a while I would have to be a dick to other riders about getting the seats dirty while every couple of months I'd resort to using a Bissel steam cleaner. The steam cleaner works, but I would imagine it's adding wear and tear to the fabric as well.

Finally I got the Okoles and haven't looked back. They were expensive, but the day after I got them, I spilled a soda on the seat and our little dog put a paw print. Grabbed a cup of water and Okole soap and seats were like new, no liquid penetrating onto the fabric below. Spending $$ sucks, but I would personally put the seat covers in the category of "must have modification".

Pretty sure I have a stain from hand sanitizer on my back seat. It's just a dark spot like it's wet. I throw my work bag in my truck, and it has hand sanitizer in a cupholder pocket. Probably got pressed. :notsure:

Hey guys, I had a very light "ghost" stain that was NOT coming out using upholstery cleaner and vac. I have no clue what is was from.

So I tried to use some electronics cleaner (CRC 05101 QD Electronic Cleaner) we use here at work. I use this crap to remove black grease from my shirt (it works like f'n magic!!!!).

This stuff works great and removed the stain outline. I just saturated the area, blotted with paper towel and then blew it off with air. Just like at the drycleaners!

BE SURE AND TEST ON AN INCONSPICUOUS LOCATION FIRST FOR COLOR COMPATIBILITY!!!!

Hell this stuff may be good for electronics too :<|

Here is what I used: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/we...duct_qd&174;-electronic-cleaner-crc_7070074-p

    ^ That can't smell good.

I've used liquid form laundry detergent on my seats b4 I got Wet Okoles. Worked great.

Now, the Wet Okoles are ridiculously easy to clean.

i consider myself an expert on stain removal from our seats..i have spilled coffee with cream, not once but twice in my truck. both times, i have a cup in that small hole by the shifter, hit a bump and literally flood my passenger seat. TWICE!! 16 oz of hot bliss.

keep it simple. i took a spray bottle, and a medium bristle brush..fill the bottle with HOT water, and a teaspoon of your favorite laundry detergent. simply spray, spray spray to soak it..brush it and blot it with a clean towel. my seats came out spotless. it worked so well, that i did the passenger seat for kicks..sweat and grime. it works. my truck smells like TIDE now. if you want, i bet you can put clean water in the bottle and "Rinse"..but i didnt.
