I know this has been beaten hundred of times with numerous treads and what not. But didn't find the answer I was looking for. I got a overhead console with the temp and compass from a salvage yard to replace my stock ones with the garage door opener. My 08 has the plug for the temp/compass gauge but no plug up front where the temp sensor plugs in. Search everywhere, up the radiator, around the horns, by the driver side headlight, but no luck. found a write up where someone connected 2 wires to pin 1&3 on connector 1C and ran that up front for the thermistor assembly. looked at my 1C connector but there was already a wire in both 1&3. anyone else know of how I can connect a thermistor assy? just don't wanna give up on this easily. Any input/help is greatly appreciated.

tried to back track the wires from the over head console to the panel on the driver side, but just couldn't find it. maybe I'm just not looking good enough.

what do you mean if the connector is down the line?

looked through the tread, but doesn't really mention anything about the thermistor assy. I know 05-08 is only compatible with 05-08. But my problem here is that I can't find the thermistor assy on my Tacoma. I'm trying to figure out if anyone ever made their own wiring for the thermistor assy and how'd they do it.

Well I apologize on that. He reused your question and title word for word, I never even looked at the username. So I guess I'll just reuse my answer for him. ;)
