Finally Ready to Buy

Hello Folks,

I am finally ready to buy a new Tacoma! I may have to order one which I don't mind as long as it is not a 2013... that has a bad ring to it

I am thinking a access cab sport 4X4 with a 6 speed & tow package.

Do you guys know if you can get a 6 speed with the sport package? The Toyota site is kind of weird because it does not mention sport in a category, only Pre Runner. Are there any other options that I may have missed that you guys have ordered? I hate to miss something...

It will be great to finally have a new truck. When I get it I will have to go through the site and see what mods you guys have done.

Yes you can, but Ive read that you will have to find one already in the dealers lot. The factories are starting the 2013s now.

 

the more specific you get the more likely the dealer wont have it and will have to do a regional search for one as close as possible to what you want, which wont help you much when you start talking numbers with them.

Yes u can get an access cab 6spd TRD Sport 4x4 but probably can't be ordered now as the 2013s should be in production now.

 

Just locked mine down its a 12 DCSB TRDsport 4x4 auto with entune. Getting it in Oklahoma but truck is coming from Arkansas. If you know what you want they can find it. I was very specific in what I wanted and now I have to pay a $300 trans. Fee but I got what I want.

 

That sucks if I am too late for a 2012. I will have to see what they can get their hands on or wait another year which I don’t want to do. I am in California... I'll see if what I want is anywhere close.

 

Now I found out from another thread that the sport model will be discontinued next year. Too bad... that was a great looking truck! Why discontinue something that is so popular?
