I am going to put some switches next to AUX switch, how do I remove that center piece. Is it just simply pull out OR there is a trick to it.
    It's for 2012 Tacoma.
    Thanks

You can remove that piece above the aux port easily. I did it on my 09 but i think its the same as the 12s.That piece below the stereo with the ac controls, then you gatta disconnect the wire harnesses, all you gatta do is use a putty knife or somrthing to pry it out, no screws or tricky clips. I think you can just fit you hand back there to pop the little port things out. I dont remember exactly how i did it and i had the whole head unit out when i did it and it was kinda tricky to get your hand back there and pop them out but it worked. Maybe someone else has a differet way of doing it, you might just be able to pry them out but i pushed them out from te back.

In my '09 I just gently pried on one with a screwdriver and it came right out.
