Hey guys. I was thinking of getting an exhaust for my truck. I have a volant intake right now and the sound from that is amazing. I want a loud exhuast also. I want the dual exhaust look so i was thinking of getting the Flowmaster american thunder dual cat back kit and swapping out the muffler that comes with it for a super 40 to get some more sound. What do you guys think? Has anyone done this? How does it sound/look?

I have had the kit on my 06 for the last two years, along with the Volant intake as well. It's loud and aggressive but after two years I could no longer take the drone on the highway so I switched out the muffler for a magnaflow. I didn't lose much when you get on it but cruising it's way less noticable. I also like the dual exhaust "look."

I am thinking about installing the american thunder cat back on my '05... Did you weld all the seams? My welding skills are not the greatest so i would rather not weld them but I am looking for some feedback.

Much cheaper to buy a muffler with a single inlet and dual outlet(flowmaster super 10) and let your local exhaust shop run two pipes out of the muffler however you like them.

Same. Had this for 3 years and couldnt stand the drone. Took it off and gave it away. Just put on the magnaflow offroad exhaust. WORLDS BETTER!!!
