When no one is sitting on my passenger seat and i go over a decent sized bump in the road, the vertical portion of the seat shakes its ass off. Is this typical of the second gens or is something just loose? I havent looked into the issue yet so it may be something simple as a loose connection

I hope i find something thats loose because its not cool, pretty annoying.
I havent had any dash problems yet but im pretty upset in the water based pait on the outside of the truck, chips WAY to easy. I have rock chips all over from the smallest of rocks, half the time i dont even realize anythign hit the truck, and the truck is only 8 months old

I've never noticed my '12 AC doing it, even on bumpy roads.

It's normal. Common complaint including myself. If you have an AC it will shake more because of the fold down function. DC's will still shake. If there is a noise coming from the seat when it moves, that is something your dealer can address and replace under warranty. Other then that, nothing we can do.

So this is more prevalent on the fold down passenger seats vs the non folding seats?

my '01 taco was a tank and hated to let it go but I'm very pleased with the 2012, has done everything i needed but it seems that it is a little more "fragile" than the older models. Other than that, i would buy it again.

I have a fairly heavy load to pull to the deer camp this weekend and lots of work to do on the land and it's supposed to be sloppy here so I get to flex its 4x4 muscle a little

I have the same issue with the seat shaking just driving normal. No other vibrations to b found yet. I do miss my 2000 taco. The new 2012 do seem fragile . We will see.

My 1st gen '02 AC did it and now my '12 DCLB does it too. But what more annoying to me is the vibration induced buzzing sound that the drivers electric window switch makes from the door speaker.

I made mine better when i repositioned the seat back a notch or two.

I discovered it by accident when i was putting on my seat covers.
Mine vib'd like a bish until i repositioned the seat.

That's been 3 years ago and it's still ok.

    Hope this helps.

my truck does this too. its annoying. its normal, there are tons of threads about it.

one dude jammed a shower towel between the seat bottom and the seat back, and he said it helped. design flaw. im powerless because i recovered my seats in leather so the dealership will likely tell me to go pound sand should i ever bring this to their attention. so i just live with it like everyone else :(
