Not a lot new there... Looks like a dtrl off switch is good news, and the back up camera will no longer go to the entune screen which ive seen people complain about here, otherwise they are just doing a tachroma option

Somebody here said no more sport package, not sure if that is true or not

Produces more power and seems to be more efficient. Just seems silly that they've got that engine in multiple other vehicles but for some reason refuse to give the Tacoma anything worth while.

Basically, since 2005, we've gained seat heaters and a fancy stereo. I know I'm not alone when I say the 'dress' packages for a Tacoma are a joke. Where are the heated mirrors, leather seats, you know, an actual trim package worth buying?

I completely agree. I'm talking an SR5 type package that's just a creature comfort package. Not some cheap plastic and fancy badges.

the big changes (dual vvti) will have to wait until the third gen.

I agree with the SR5 still being the best- does that level of trim or the name even exist anymore?

interesting that they are no longer running the reverse camera through the entune system - only through the mirror.

new phone mic...wonder if it's better.

heated seats would be pretty cool.

meh on the chrome fogs, door handles, mirrors. i guess i could change my mind when i see it but i've got to think it's going to be garbage. grandpa truck.

More emblems!!! I can't think of any other vehicle with so many emblems. Now they're going to have "limited" emblems under the back door windows?

In general, it doesn't seem like a big deal over the 2012.

What's the difference between the "low grade" and "high grade" stereos?

The only things I can see are the panel color and 6 speaker vs. 7 speaker.

Is the 7th speaker a subwoofer?

Too bad they don't add dual VVT and GDI to this bad boy. My Kia Optima makes more power with almost 2x more fuel economy with half the engine displacement and a single turbo as this engine. It would be nice to see a single turbo 3.0L 6cyl that gets ~350hp and mid 20's for fuel economy in these trucks. With the technology on display from lesser manufacturers it should be pretty simple to meet or exceed this numbers by someone like Toyota. Those numbers with that engine displacement are actually pretty conservative.

Other than all that I'll just added heated seats to my Tacoma for less than $100 and stick with what I have already. Toyota better be careful because they are falling WAY behind the curve for technology that other manufacturers have been offering as standard equipment for years. I realize they have a hot product in the Tacoma and a solid name but if anything it's been proven over the years you can only ride that for so long.

Was poking around at the dealer today while my truck was getting worked on. The standard radio in the 2013s, which now has the 6.1" screen, doesn't have Entune with apps capability and no JBL upgraded sound...at least from looking through the windows that is the difference. The JBL vs standard radio in 2012 was night and day different...i'm sure it's the same in the 2013s.

I like the back-up camera in the Entune screen. It takes a while to get used to, put it does offer an incredable view compared to the little screen in the rear view mirror.

I just wish they put the grid lines on the screen, that's really all I wanted. Think it could come in really handy to have the grid for reference/distance judging. It's a little hard to judge distance for me.
