I am putting in a air bag controller/compressor.

It is saying to hook up to the "Un-fused side of the ignition powered auxiliary fuse". It will have a fuse for it own power so couldn't I just hook to the battery?

Any one know where this is? Here is a photo of the fuse boxes.

Its a 2012 if that matters.

    Thanks

My Compressor is hooked straight to the battery with an inline fuse.

My only concern with doing this is I got an air lift wireless air controller. If there was ever a problem in the air system it would run with the truck turned off and trash the battery.

And I was thinking it might have a draw on the battery because it automatically keeps the air bags that the set psi.

Ah I missed that run an add a circuit to the box under the dash behind the coin tray thing and run that to the relay and still run to the battery for your main power. That way only way power goes thru the relay is if ignition is on...

Not sure where the wire less controller goes but I would guess where the switch is on this one.

So would that be the same as using the "Un-fused side of the ignition powered auxiliary fuse" per what the installation diagram says to do?

And is there one in the engine bay fuse boxes?

I am not sure on the 12's but on my 09 I run all ignition powered on the box inside the cab.

And the wording of that is confusing. Did they give you a diagram?

I guess on the electrical schematic it just says "ignition source"? That means it wont have power it the key is out?

So in the cab? What fuse # would be the best to tap into?

An add a circuit has 2 fuses so whatever you tap into stays the same then your ignition wore to the relay would also be fused...
