I've been pondering between getting the Leer 180 or the A.R.E. MX. Decided to go with the MX. I'm mainly going to use it for gear protection when deer hunting, and to carry some tools sometimes for working on rental properties, so I just got a few options to suite my needs.

I'm getting the Yakima Roof Racks, front tilt slider, Windoors, double T - locks on rear door, 12V dome light and fabric headliner. Fairly basic set-up, but I don't sleep in my truck so these will meet my needs nicely.

I have had a few A.R.E. shells on my trucks in the past.
The top racks are handy as heck!
Post up pics after the install.

I've got one of those on my DCSB and love it! You'll appreciate the extra head height you get with the MX series since you sleep back there. Good choice

Thanks Folks, I'll post some pics when it comes in.. 2-3 wks.

Pugga, I don't use the shell for sleeping (we have a hunting cabin), but I do pile my hunting gear up pretty high back there and will certainly appreciate the extra height for that:D. Glad you're happy with your's, I'm sure I will be too. I wasn't too sure if I liked the Vista View at first, but it has grown on me and I really like the way it looks now.

    Thanx,
    YB

I'd be a happy man (so would the wife) if reading was the only thing I did too quickly:rolleyes:

What I liked about the MX series was the larger opening at the back for taller cargo ~ garbage cans to the dump, certain boxes, furniture etc.
That extra room made a difference at times not having to take the cap off.
Even crawling in an out didn't seem to bang my head as much lol :D.
