The passenger side vent closest to the radio has a piece of adhesive backed foam that game loose and stuck itself to the fins on the vent.

Do I need to pull the dashboard apart to take out the fins or can I pull them straight out? Is this something I should get the stealership to do since its a 2012 truck?

I helped a friend pick one out of the same location. Long pair of tweasers and a lot of patience. Roll the sticky sides together and slowly pull it out.

Or take it to the dealer and live with the rattles and squeeks they will cause by the dis / reassembly.

getting it fixed today hopefully while I have one of my last free oil change visits. its going to really suck if the rattles start again in my dash. was not impressed with my brand new truck having rattles everywhere.

I just removed two pieces this evening from my vents. Wife saw them in there. It was preventing the vent from being adjustable. One was on far right passenger vent. Other was just left of the radio. Screwdriver and a pair of tweezers did the job. Just be careful with vent flaps bc I'm sure they will snap if too much force.
