So I bought the Tacoma last Oct, really haven't driven it much (15k miles), mostly because with the warm weather I've been able to use the motorcycle nearly since Feb. Annnyway, in preparation for a trip to Labrador I've been busy over the past month or so doing a few minor mods, fog lights, new tires/wheels (went with the hankooks...too new to comment but they seem decent), installed a CB, added in some LED bed lights, and the popular Firestone Ride Rites. Pretty much did everything with the guidance of this forum, so without further delay...pictures!

The bed lights (will update with a night shot later):

And finally the obligatory Ride Rite shot:

Looks awesome man. I'm about to install my cb, and would like to do the lights in the bed as well. Looks great on our Silver Taco's I think. Could you point me in the right direction for parts and maybe an installation thread?

Also going to add the Firestone's for towing boats, TT's, etc. down the road. How do you like them so far? Are they expensive? How about installation costs?

Tks for any info! Great looking truck bud!

    Thanks!

For the firestones I like em a lot, they make a noticeable difference when I have all my (and buddies) dive gear in the bed, and they seem pretty reliable so far (I've noticed some variances in the PSI, not enough to be a leak so I suspect its due to the pretty large temperature swings we've been having up here). I got mine for 250ish bucks at autoanything, and installation took about 3-4 hours which me and a friend did ourselves. It was pretty easy, we just took our time (and had to run to the store to get a socket large enough for one of the bolts). At least my taco also has the perfect holes to run the valves to in the rear bumper, not ideal for offroading I know, but they work for me (and no drilling required).

I linked to the light strip above, and I just put it in so I can't comment on reliability, but it seems great so far. The install was easy, stick the lights on, then run the wires, I went up into the cab via a grommet under the drivers seat, to the switch, to the battery via the firewall grommet.

Annnd for the CB I basically followed what others here have done but if you want some more details (on any part of it) let me know and I'll take more pictures tomorrow

Nice thanks for the info. I might put the switch in the bed since i only have one port thing left and i wanna save that for offroad lights someday, im sure wiring will still be a pain tho.

I like what you got going on in the bed. What do the airbags do?
Are they in place of bumpstops?

No prob! Haha and it was a Cessna 172 my dad part-owned for quite a few years when I was growing up, great plane!

Yea they're in place of the bumpstops, if you search for "firestone airbags" on the forum theres a bunch of threads with a ton of info. In short though each bag leads to a basic valve which (I just use a bike pump) you can put air into/let air out depending on the load in the bed.

See this is an older thread, after couple years of use how are the led lights holding up?
And do you recall what the length of the coaxil if for your cb?
    Thanks

Well the bedlights crapped out, so I'm replacing them with a more waterproof alternative. I think my coax is 12'.
