Weird clicking sound coming from the back of the truck when i accelerate. Sounds as if someone would have tied a zip tie to the drive shaft (clicking/tapping noise) and if i put in in neutral and rev it, it doesnt make the noise. Anyone have any idea of what it could be?

OP, Knowing year, mileage and driving conditions would help but it sounds to me like the rear uni joint in your drive-shaft assembly is gone

2007 with around 43,000 miles. I drive it pretty fast with some moderate offroading

If it's making noise, it's in a bad way. You can SAFELY get under the truck and see if the shaft moves at all. Use gloves and rotate it while it's stopped, in park or in gear, e-brake set. See if you can visually see any movement between the diff yoke and the shaft. Good luck!

i have done 2 u joints on mine and i mainly noticed it on the freeway letting off the gas and then getting on it slightly and i felt the play snap... real easy fix once you do it once its cake. I just used an old beat up socket to beat it out and to press in the new one... good luck man
