Looking for any advice pro/con on any canvas caps that would have the capacity to handle a rack or roof top tent. Im not really interested in a collapsing model, but built well enough guess I wouldn't rule it out. Its for a 2012 Tacoma access, long bed.
Any help would b awsome! Take care.

I love them. I wanted one for a LONG time but finally deemed it unnecessary. I still love how they look though. I believe there are two main brands for the Tacoma: SoftTopper and BestTop. If you go check out the Reviews forum you can find very informative threads on both. Good luck!

Only available ones I know of are the collapsing style bestop and softop. Canback has not had anything available for a while but may be worth giving a call. Otherwise you could look at a custom rack to support a rooftop tent using a bestop or softopper. Check out expedition portal for more info on overland set ups. My softopper has been awesome, great quality and trouble free it's what I would recommend.

Canback are the best (and most expensive) but look a he'll of a lot better than those other brands. Unfortunately they don't have one for our trucks yet. The others look cheap as hell IMO. I guess if you only need one ocasionally then the bestops are fine. Also, Canback is the only brand that I've seen that can have a rack mounted with RTT.

I'm going to call them today and see what's up. Hopefully they can put something together because I've got money burning a hole in my pocket.:D
